Galchi Jorim (갈치조림) 섬마을 at Yeosu fish market

Are you having a nice summer time??
 Today, we will introduce a Galchi Jorim to you

It was our first meal at yeosu,
so we looked forward to having
 yeosu's indigenous food




we decided to eat yeosu's top 10 food
recommended by the Korea Tourist Service

Galchi Jorim!!!
we went yeosu fish market for trying it

Yeosu fish market was clean
as compared with other traditional market

When we arrived the Yeosu fish market,
Time was over the 1:30PM.
restaurants were still full.
Ah....



Fortunately, we could find one seat
without long waiting time
Yeah!!



We entered the 섬마을(Summaul) restaurant
You must order Galchi Jorim at least for two persons

Galchi Jorim (갈치 조림) - 25,000won

*25,000won Galchi Jorim is eat for two

Can eat a bowl of rice with this side-menu



Dongchimi (Radish water kimchi)
The juice of dongchimi is really refreshing!!



Stir-fried anchovies
There was no sense of existence



Bireum namul (Seasoned Pigweed)
Herb flavor remains intact
Pigweed and sauce work in perfect harmony
Really good



Gochu Muchim (Seasoned Chilli)

Galchi Jorim is Braised Cutlassfish
We could find white radish, sweet pumpkin,
tofu, green onion and etc.
at the Galchi Jorim

Cutlassfish are covered by soup

 

 when you ladle soup
then you can find Cutlassfish

This fish has a lot of bones.
you have to carefully remove them before eating
It could be troublesome... be careful



Cutlassfish was well seasoned as if by magic
even a Galchi Jorim soup was not salty



The soup is a little bit spicy.
So you had better add rice to the Galchi Jorim soup



 You will consume a huge amount of rice
with a Galchi Jorim soup!!

Anjirang Gopchang Alley (안지랑 곱창골목) - Daegu food street in the top5


Are you looking for very special food in Korea?? Today for you I will introduce Anjirang Gopchang Alley, A part of Daegu's tourist attractions. 
Locals also enjoy coming to this area  because of reasonable taste and price food.😃





They wrote the origin of Anjirang intestines at the end of alley

Before you watching this
*It is better to escape Gopchang to someone who is picky about food or fastidious tastes.

It is pork intestine. because of this special part, likes and dislikes are obvious. 
Can feel uncomfortable owing to special smell. 
Even some of my friends who live entire life in Korea cannot eat it. 
But in my case, Gopchang is one of my favorite foods while I drink soju with friends
and had blackout many times.
Cannot stop drinking soju when I eat it together.


When you arrrive Anjirang Gopchang Alley,
then you can see a lot of Gopchang restaurant. 
Since most of the restaurants there look similar,
you might be confused which one should I choose. 

How to choose delicious Gopchang restaurant in Anjirang Alley
Tip: Choose restaurant as many people as staying possible. 
Crowded restaurants are using fresh intestine.
It is easy to being sold out at these restaurants after then, they order and order the fresh intestine.
So popular restaurants use fresh material.
How much fresh the materials are decides taste specially at Gopchang.



I chose this restaurant using over tip.
So many people eating here right?
Okay Let's go!


Gopchang one bucket(곱창 한바가지) 500g - 12,000won
Pork Entrails(막창) 150g - 8,000won
Pork belly (삼겹살) 150g - 8,000won
Heart(염통구이) 150g - 5,000won

Soybean paste stew (된장찌개) - 2,000won
Rice - 1,000won
Soju - 3,500won





Staff served vegetables and sauce, You can see lettuce again without fail in koreaㅋㅋ


I ordered one bucket Gochang


This is one bucket Gochang, They are serving rice cake together. 
It was a moderate amount for two man.





Stir Gopchang well using tongs for not making burnt meat :)

Before eating, one shot of soju!



Place the Gopchang at edge of the hot grill for not to burn


Eat with special soybean sauce



Of course, cannot miss ssam with Gopchang
